DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE"Beginning each day by praying for your children benefits them in countless ways even as it draws them deeper into your heart." --Elizabeth George (Author of "A Woman After God's Own Heart")
Praying is the most beneficial thing you can do, especially in the morning. Prayer helps you to calmly focus on the expected outcome that you desire rather than worrying. Philippians 4:6-7 states, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made to known God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Prayer 1: Give Thanks To God
Lord, thank You for today! This is the day that You have made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! Thank You that You have met all of my needs today. You have ordered my steps and made my path clear. Surely, Your goodness and mercy follows me daily. Each morning I receive new mercies from You. You are my strength and my confidence and I praise your Holy name. In Jesus name, Amen.
Prayer 2: Make Your Request Known To God
Heavenly Father, I praise You for my baby. Thank You that he/she is developing perfectly in my womb. My baby is Your workmanship, designed in Your image. Thank You that my child is fearfully and wonderfully made and marvelous are all the works of Your hands.
Lord, You knew my child even before he/she was conceived. My child bears Your Spirit within him/her and he/she will come to know You as Lord. I treasure this child as a gift from You and thank You for his/her good health. Thank you that my child's development is normal and on track at each stage of development. I declare that my child will be born completely healthy and completely whole. Lord, I confess that my pregnancy and childbirth will be void of complications. I commit my child and my pregnancy and delivery into Your hands. I believe by faith that You are with me, therefore I will not fear. You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. Jesus, I cast all of my cares and burdens on You and receive Your peace in my heart. You have made me a joyful mother -- my baby senses my joy and shares in it also. My child will grow up and call me blessed. Jesus, You died on the cross to take away my sickness and pain. I stand in faith knowing that I will continue to have good health throughout the course of my pregnancy. Holy Spirit, I ask You to guide every decision concerning my pregnancy and delivery. Continue to give my doctor wisdom and insight to provide highly skilled care for me and my child. Father, thank you for the angels that you have assigned to watch over me and my baby. No evil shall befall us and nothing shall by any means harm us. I lay aside stress, anxiety, and worry and declare that my days are peaceful and full of joy. Father, I give you all the praise, glory and honor for your many blessings over my life. In Jesus name, Amen. |
